The New Season World Superbike Held In February 24

The World Superbike Championship enters its 26th year in 2013, 15 round will be featured on the schedule. As tradition, the 2013 World Superbike Championship will get underway at Phillip Island, next years Australian race held February 22-24. World Superbike will also hold the official test the Monday and Tuesday before the season at Phillip Island, which is the most frequently visited venue in World SBK history. The series has met there 22 times since 1988. There will only be a one-week break between round 1 at Phillip Island and round 2 at Buddh International Circuit. The Wednesday before Buddh World SBK, the series will hold another official test.

In February, World Superbike, which will be marketed under the same umbrella as MotoGP with Dorna Sports, confirmed it would return to Sentul, Indonesia, where the series competed from 1994 to 1997. But things appear to be pushed back another year. Portimao is scheduled for round 8 June 7-9, but is still subject to contract.

The 2013 World Superbike finale will take place October 20 at Jerez del Frontera. World Superbike only visited the Jerez circuit one other time back in 1990.

For the 2013 World Superbike schedule is lacking three circuits that were on the 2012 calendar - Misano (San Marino), Brno (Czech Republic) and Miller Motorsports Park (Utah, USA). But one of these may return (likely Brno or Misano).

2013 World Superbike Calendar:
- February 24 : Phillip Island, Australia
- March 10 : Buddh Circuit, India
- April 7 : Aragon, Spain
- April 28 : Assen, The Netherlands
- May 12 : Monza, Italy
- May 26 : Donington, United Kingdom
- June 9 : Portimao, Portugal
- June 23 : TBA
- June 30 : Imola, Italy

In The News Hellcat CX3 now more lighter more power

I recently saw CONFEDERATE has given a new look to their website which meant there must be something new. Well this is it. CONFEDERATE has further improvized on their awesome Hellcat engine. This is the new C3 X132 Hellcat or simply CX3. The main page reads,
"Introducing the C3 X132 Hellcat: America’s New Heirloom Motorcycle Architecture
When we accepted the challenge of re-designing and re-engineering, from a clean sheet of paper, our core Confederate architecture, we mandated that the result be: honest, standardized, utilitarian, overbuilt, simple, pure, strong, tough, powerful, elegant, timeless, and permanent. Each of these core architectural benchmarks has been dutifully achieved, without compromise. There has never been an American motorcycle foundation so true to concept. CX3 is the core of the most important motorcycle launch in our 20 year history."

Reading on futher,
C3 Hellcat: Target market and Production Schedule
The C3 X132 Hellcat will be the lightest, fastest, toughest, smoothest, most beautiful
Hellcat, ever. Further, it will be priced within reach of the top 10% of Harley Davidson buyers. We are targeting the American motoring purist and aficionado. First deliveries begin October 31, 2010, Halloween night, from our new facilities in the art district at 733 St. Joseph Street. This event will mark our first annual Halloween party as we celebrate production of the World’s finest road bike, and simultaneously, with humble gratitude, our return home, to our beloved New Orleans.
Press DownloadsThe following are hi-resolution CAD image captures of the C3 X132 architecture. Click this link to download the images in a self contained zip file. Pleae contact Amy Calvert with any further press needs or questions.

What we know about the Hellcat specifications or rather about its engine is that this is one beautifully crafted unit which houses a V-Twin 4 stroke engine displacing 2146 cc (Bore & Stroke 4.4 x 4.4 inches) with a huge power output of 137 hp extendable upto 150 hp and more and an equally humongous 197 Nm of torque accelerated through a 5 speed gearbox to a top speed of minimum 135 mph and much more according to buyers tweaking specifications. The engine is entirely machined from aircraft grade billet aluminum. with ultra high compression, ported and polished head design with special application camshift grind. Now if someone were to improvize on that, meaning adding more power while substracting its weight, this would be one hell of a mean machine. Lightest, fastest, smoothest Hellcat. Hmmm... no doubt. Most Beautiful Hellcat? and that too "ever"! Now, this I gotta see as it is diffcult to understand how can you make this bike look even more beautiful? And it says that the price will be probably a lit bit more than the HD Ultraglide flagship models which means it will be just touching the 30,000 USD mark. The original Hellcat was also similarly priced. So this year Halloween is going to be extra special for the road bike lovers. And since we still have half a year to go, maybe we need to start saving.
For the less informed, New Orleans was the original place of Confederate motorcycles. It was very badly affected by Hurricane Katharine in 2005 and now it seems Chris has built his factory back as they will be shifting to Orleans.

BAJAJ PULSAR 375 TO BE LAUNCHED IN 2013
Bajaj Auto slipped to the third spot by losing second position to the Honda. Though it’s only a month, Bajaj is already into the damage control mode. Recently Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto told Money Control that the company is planning to launch 3-4 new products in 2013, which is Bajajs attempt to regain its lost position.

Mr. Bajaj said, “We have several launches lined up for this year. There are at least two new Pulsars- one that will be smaller than the Pulsar 200cc and another that will be much bigger. This is going to help us defend our leadership in this space and that is very important for us. However our main focus will be on the Discover brand and segment. The launch of the Discover 100T in January and our ability to sell 25,000 - 30,000 units a month had given us a new foothold in the commuter segment because it is for the first time in our history that we are selling units of a 100cc motorcycle in such large numbers.”
Bajaj Pulsar is Pulsar 375 which is based on the KTM Duke 390 is likely to make a great impact. While the other Pulsar series bike, which is said to be a sub-200cc bike, is still under the wraps. Bajaj has a full-fledged line-up of bikes at the moment and no spot is vacant in the sub-200cc category. So, it might be a new 150cc Pulsar family bike boasting the same design that of the Pulsar 200 NS. The bike will compete with upcoming Honda CB Trigger and other 150cc bikes like Yamaha FZ series. The new bike will be sold parallel to the existing Pulsar 150 and it might feature some of the first in class features.
